With Christmas drawing ever closer, the festive season is well and truly upon us!
With most of our clients being London based, our engineers spend a lot of time in and around the capital. With this in mind, they’re always on the lookout for new and exciting things to do in London to help get them in the festive spirit this Christmas.
So, if like us, you’re spending Christmas in the capital this year, here are some of the best festive activities to enjoy with the whole family…
Winter Wonderland
Anyone who’s lived in or visited London over the holiday season will tell you that Christmas isn’t Christmas without a visit to Winter Wonderland. So head down to Hyde Park and explore the huge fun fair, games, Christmas market, and seasonal food and drink on offer. It’s free to enter but expect to pay for the attractions once you’re inside.
Christmas at Kew
When darkness falls, head down to Kew Gardens to enjoy a twinkly light trail, tempting food stalls, and Victorian funfair rides. A magical experience for all the family.
Ice Skating
Outdoor ice skating is the perfect way to spend a December day or evening, and there are plenty of outdoor ice skating rinks to choose from in and around London. The pop-up ice rinks at the Natural History Museum, Canary Wharf, Somerset House, and Hampton Court Palace are our favourite spots!
Christmas Shopping
The run-up to Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a spot of Christmas shopping…and London is certainly the place to be if you’re planning on hitting the shops. From the wealth of department stores, high street stores, and independent boutiques, through to an array of Christmas markets, festive fairs, and festivals, you’re sure to find the perfect gifts!
Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is well worth a visit over the festive period. Home to the huge Christmas tree donated to the people of Britain by Oslo every year, each evening and weekend, the square comes alive with carol singing beneath the tree.
