With London Fashion Week over and done with for another season, it’s time to turn our attention to some of the other great events going on in and around the capital – and let’s face it, there are plenty of them!
London Cocktail Week kicks off
The city’s annual celebration of the perfectly mixed spirit is back for another year and there’s plenty to get excited about! Running from 3rd until the 9th October at venues across the city, you’ll be able to sample world-class drinks at the Whisky Exchange, explore inside the world’s more awarded gin at the Beefeater Distillery, sample an exhaustive menu of beverages at the LCW Cocktail Village, and much, much more.
How can you possibly begin to select just one cocktail from the menu?
With this in mind, we’d highly recommend trying a variety of different cocktails, covering different spirits, flavours, and consistencies, this will help you to identify what you do and don’t like in a cocktail and will help you to make strong choices in the future.
As well as selecting the right combination of ingredients and flavours, it’s also important to ensure that you consume your cocktail in the right surroundings! Whether you’re at home or enjoying Happy Hour in one of London’s many cocktail bars, your environment can make or break your cocktail experience.
Do you like busy, vibrant venues or quieter, more laidback establishments? Would you rather stay in the comfort of your own home or explore and socialise?
To feel relaxed and comfortable whilst you’re sipping your beverage of choice, you should also always ensure that your venue is well ventilated and heated just to the right temperature – so look out for air conditioned bars and, if you regularly entertain at home, you might even consider installing an air con system in your property.
